Mayo Garden Centers

Mayo Garden Centers is the oldest family owned business in Knoxville.  We started in 1878 as a grocery store selling from the back of a truck. We opened a store on Gay Street in 1878.  The store was moved to Wall Avenue in 1921 where it stayed through the 70's, as well as opening a new location in 1954 at 4718 Kingston Pike in Bearden, where it remains today.  We still package most of our flower and vegetable seeds here in Knoxville, in our Bearden store.

Today Mayo's has three convenient full service garden centers to serve you.  Our newest store is at 620 East Emory Road, in Powell.  Our store at 9629 Kingston Pike houses our full service shop where we service all of the equipment that we sell.  When you purchase power equipment from Mayo's you have the assurance that any problems that you may have will be taken care of and we file the warranty claims for you.  Service after the sell is very important to us.  We offer pick up and delivery service for a minimal price.  You do not have this service if you buy from most home centers or department stores. 

Our equipment lines cover from 2 cycle equipment to the top of the line commercial lawnmowers with decks up to 72".  Our main concern is our customers satisfaction.  When you purchase equipment from Mayo's, you may take it home, use it one time and if you are not completely satisfied, simply return it for a full refund.

We carry all types of fertilizers, weed killers, and insecticides, as well as soils, a variety of mulches, bagged and palletized rock, and so much more.  Mayo's stocks quality trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs, bedding plants, herbs, and vegetable plants.
